This month, a number of fashion and beauty brands are working to raise awareness of breast cancer in India. One of these is Jade which is donating a portion of sales to the Ogaan Cancer Foundation from two pink bridal ensembles.

The first ensemble is from its Lasya collection and is made from cut beads and lace designed for a sangeet ceremony. The lehenga is heavily embellished but modern in its tailoring and features a number of contrasting light pink hues.

The second ensemble is from the Alekhya collection and contrasts a floaty organza top in petal pink with a heavy-weighted skirt. Lace and beading add intricacy to the look and floaty swathes of fabric add an ethereal touch.

Jade was launched by Monica Shah and Karishma Swali a decade ago and the brand has flagship stores in Mumbai and Hyderabad. The brand’s signature aesthetic is a modern take on Indian tradition and it retails both read-to-wear and bridal couture.

The Ogaan Cancer Foundation works to raise awareness of cancer in India and to provide reliable information on the illness. The organisation is also currently working with Marks & Spencer and Innisfree this season.
