JJ Valaya launches new jewellery line

Couturier JJ Valaya has collaborated with heritage jewellery brand Jagdish Jewellers to launch a new fine jewellery line at the recently opened World of Valaya store in New Delhi as a prelude to a full jewellery line later this year.

“The recently launched World of Valaya in Delhi now houses a dedicated section showcasing a range of precious jewellery curated by JJ Valaya in association with Jagdish Jewellers Chandigarh (creators of jewels for the Patiala Royals since 1866),” JJ Valaya announced on Facebook. “This initial showcase of rare jewels acts as a prelude to the introduction of the JJ Valaya line of fine jewellery that will be introduced later this year.”

The jewellery line is steeped in traditional style opulence with statement chokers, a vibrant use of enamels, and uncut diamonds. Other elements include pearls, emeralds, polki, rubellites, and Paraiba tourmalines among others. Floral motifs are seen throughout the line which has ample bridal options for the summer wedding season. 

“For any couture house, fine jewellery is a natural extension in its repertoire,” Valaya told Vogue India about the launch. “It takes the brand DNA further into new territories and along with other accessories, it completes the pictures.”
