Istituto Marangoni Mumbai appoints Mevin Murden as director of education

Istituto Marangoni, Mumbai has appointed Mevin Murden as its new director of education. Murden has worked on projects for numerous brands including Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, and Saint Laurent.

Murden participated in the launch of Istituto Marangoni’s Mumbai campus in 2017 and has previously worked for its campus in London. In his new role as director of education, Murden will guide the Istituto Marangoni Mumbai academic team through implementing its fashion, styling, and business programmes and bring in the latest industry innovation technology to the programmes.
 
“I am honoured and excited to be in India, a place with such rich culture and heritage which really enhances what students are able to produce in terms of design and aesthetics, but also being part of this ever evolving growing luxury market,” said Murden about his appointment, Elle India reported. 

Murden ha worked with numerous luxury fashion brands including Cerruti, Armani, Cartier, and Rolex. He has also worked on projects with businesses including Burberry, Paul Smith, Zaha Hadid, Dae Wha Kang, Elle, and GQ, among others. Murden studied at Harvard University Extension School in the U.S., among other international academic institutions.
