Change might be coming to Jil Sander’s in the form of a new creative director. Rodolfo Paglialunga whose been leading the brand since April 2014, might soon be leaving the German brand that was bought by Japanese group Onward in 2008 via its European affiliate Gibò, rebaptized Onward Luxury Group (OLG). He will be replaced by married couple Lucie and Luke Meier, according to WWD. The fashion house is yet to comment.

Lucie Meier is currently head designer at Christian Dior for its women’s haute couture and ready-to-wear collections. She found herself in the spotlight this past year working with Serge Ruffieux at interim at the luxury French fashion house, between Raf Simons departure in 2015 and the arrival of Maria Grazia Chiuri in July 2016. She also previously worked for Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton.

In the mean time, while Serge Ruffieux is eyeing a position at Carven, Lucie Meier was approached by Jil Sander, where she would work side by side with her husband, Luke Meier, previously head stylist at Supreme and cofounder and artistic director of men’s label OAMC, according to market sources.

Jil Sander will not be presenting at Men’s Fashion Week in Milan this season, opting for its own presentation instead.
