International Gemological Institute certifies Maitri Lab Grown Diamonds has created largest lab grown diamond to date

The International Gemological Institute has certified that Maitri Lab Grown Diamonds has created largest lab grown diamond to date with its 35.00-carat lab grown diamond.

“IGI is proud to certify new benchmarks like this exceptional lab grown diamond from Maitri,” said the IGI North America’s president Avi Levy, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. “The increasing sophistication and quality of achievements we’re seeing from the top producers are remarkable. These breakthroughs also underscore how vital screening, grading and disclosure are, in the interest of continued confidence and growth for our industry.”
 
The lab grown diamond was polished into an emerald cut stone measuring 23.37 millimetres by 15.24mm by 9.06 mm. Maitri grew the stone using the Chemical Vapor Deposition process and has put the stone on display at the JCK Las Vegas trade show in the US, which runs from June 2 to 5, the business announced on Facebook.
