“Innisfree being a nature-loving brand has come a long way with our commitment to bring together a group of volunteers to create a clean, healthy environment that can be sustained for years to come for our future generations,” said Innisfree’s India country head Paul Lee in a press release.

“We believe this Green Promise should go on,” said Lee. “We have taken Rewari as a forest plantation site because since it’s adjoining Rajasthan, the influence of the desert land can be felt when in Rewari as there are season of dry weather and dust flowing in the air and thus it makes the land semi-arid and completely dependent on rainfall. It is reputed to be a place where it has high temperature making it very dry and difficult for plantation, and aim is to bring about a green revolution wherein the communities would come together to nurture the environment for sustainable and better living.”

The brand planted lemon, mango, sapota, and jackfruit saplings among others, designed to help farmers in the region. The initiative is part of Innisfree’s Global CSR activity and the drive was also designed to prevent soil erosion, mono-cropping, and raising the water levels of the area.

“Sankalp Taru is happy to be associated with Innisfree for embarking on the mission of sustaining rural livelihood through unique tree plantation program in Rewari district of Haryana,” said Sankalp Taru’s founder and director Apurva Bhandari. “With our sole aim of creating green patches on the arid land of the region, this program is striving towards rejuvenating the environment along with uplifting the progressive farmer community through the means of integrating enhanced horticultural practices.”
