The direct-to-customer brand also saw participation from LetsVenture, AngelList India, and other angel investors in the funding round, ET Tech reported. The funds will be used to ameliorate the business’ branding and marketing segments as well as to set up a lab for research and development to continue to improve its products.

“Almo also plans to strengthen its 30+ people team with strategic hirings across key areas to lay the foundation for the long term scale up opportunities,” said the business in a press release following the funding.

The brand aims to continue its growth trajectory to cross Rs 100 crore in revenue by the end of 2022. Almo will also launch in international markets this year with Amazon’s Global Selling Propel Accelerator programme, according to the business.

Abhishek Shah, Muskaan Jain, and Chhavi Bhardwaj launched Almo in June, 2020. The label focuses on ‘essential wear’ and retails men’s inner wear, lounge wear, top wear, and winter wear.
