Injiri showcases textiles in Mallorca

Womenswear brand Injiri showcased a large-scale textile installation in Mallorca, Spain featuring handcrafted embellishments. The showcase took place as part of the Xtant Fibra textile festival’s 2023 edition.

Injiri’s textile installation was a large, white patchwork piece, made from a range of different sized rectangles. Some portions were pure white while others featured indigenous patterns in a range of bright hues. 
 
“It was an extraordinary experience for us to be a part of this gathering of textile practitioners, designers, and craft enthusiasts from all over the world,” announced Injiri on Facebook. “We would like to thank you for creating a platform that brings together such a diverse range of talent and expertise in the textile industry. The opportunity to exchange ideas, share knowledge and discuss with such a dynamic and passionate community was truly inspiring. It was an honour to participate in an event that celebrates the art of textile making and recognises the hard work and dedication of the people behind it.”

Chinar Farooqui launched Injiri as a craft-driven womenswear brand and the label currently retails from over 100 multi-brand stores internationally as well as in a range of multi-brand luxury fashion boutiques in India such as Ensemble. The brand works with artisans in India to create minimalist, understated clothing which is designed to put the spotlight on the textile craft itself and preserve its traditional practices.
