Injiri launches collection at Paris showcase
Womenswear brand Injiri has launched its fall/ winter 2023 collection at an appointment-only showcase at ATS Gallery in Paris, France as the Indian brand eyes further international expansion.
Injiri’s showcase runs until March 4, the brand announced on Facebook. The event sees Injiri present its collection for the upcoming seasons to an audience of media and buyers with the aim of securing new distributors across France and beyond.
The brand’s collection for fall/ winter this year mixes bright, even neon hues with simple tailoring to create statement looks which remain relaxed. Injiri’s signature mix of heritage textile techniques and unexpected colour combinations continues with collection ‘Nilgiri’ in the form of overcoats and thick shawls. Layering adds to the collection’s ethnic feel and the loose silhouettes add a sense of ease to the collection.
“What we love most about designing textiles is finding new and unexpected ways to pair colors,” wrote Injiri on Facebook about the designs. “Use two clashing colors and they will look like they are vibrating. Use close tones and they become an elevated neutral.”
Chinar Farooqui’s brand Injiri currently retails from over 100 multi-brand stores internationally as well as in a range of multi-brand luxury fashion boutiques in India such as Ensemble. The brand works with artisans in India to create minimalist, understated clothing which is designed to put the spotlight on the textile craft itself.
