INIFD to send students to UK for London showcase
The International Institute of Fashion Design will send a group of its students to the UK to hold a showcase. The event will take place in association with the High Commission of India in London.
“INIFD designers are once again ready to make India proud,” announced the INIFD on Facebook. “Students will be showcasing our rich heritage, textiles, art, and craft at India Day on 17th February, 2023 in association with [the] High Commission of India in London. It’s your time to shine now.”
The INIFD has sent groups of students to London for numerous years to enable them to showcase their designs in the British capital. The 2023 event will take place with the London School of Trends, with which the INIFD is also holding a showcase in New York, US this month during New York Fashion Week.
The International Institute of Fashion Design has campuses across India in locations including Bhopal, Indore, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Pune, Siliguri, and Mumbai among others. The institute runs a range of courses relating to fashion and interior design, among other creative fields. In India, the INIFD partners with Lakme Fashion Week in association with the Fashion Design Council of India to showcase winning student collections from across its campuses at the fashion week, the next edition taking place in Mumbai this March.
