INIFD to hold fashion showcase in New York

The Indian Institute of Fashion Design will send a group of its students to New York, US. Select students will showcase their designs during New York Fashion Week at the ‘Indian Fashion Trunk’, designed to recognise up and coming Indian designers. 

A group of INIFD students will travel to the US this month for a fashion showcase - INIFD Corporate- Facebook


The Indian Fashion Trunk will take place on February 10 in New York, the INIFD announced on Facebook sharing snippets from the pro-show fittings. The fashion showcase will also feature work by students at the London School of Trends. 
 
The INIFD also announced the winners of its ‘INIFD Launchpad’ design contest to celebrate the next generation of fashion and interior design talent on Facebook on February 2. Raman Dageliya and Divyam Kaushal from INIFD Chandigarh, Zohra Hassan from INIFD Patna, Ashlesha Ghadge and Kanya Yadav from INIFD Mumbai, Vashi and Rashi Jain from INIFD Mumbai South, and Javed Saifi from INIFD New Delhi West have been selected to showcase their designs on the runway. 

The winning student designers will present their work at the INIFD Launchpad event as part of the Design Festival season eight at Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India, sponsored by Rise Worldwide and Nexa. The fashion week will run from March 9 to 12.
