INIFD hosts Lakme Fashion Week launchpad event in Delhi

International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) West Delhi hosted the Lakme Fashion Week Launchpad event at Dilli Haat in the national capital, New Delhi.
 

The launchpad event saw participation from over 500 students from 13 INIFD institutes of the north zone.
 
Diksha Devi and Hirdey Mahajan were declared the winners of the event and will now get an opportunity to showcase their designs at the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week.

The event was judged by Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge, Pankaj Ahuja, Raseel Gujral, Neeraj, and Shefalee Vasudev.
 
Commenting on the initiative, Ghatge in a statement said: “This is a big platform for the students where they can showcase their talent and skills. Fashion and Interior Design industry is growing rapidly in India and bringing new opportunities for the budding designers.”
 
Avneet Grover, centre director at INIFD West Delhi, added: “The selected fashion design students will get an exclusive opportunity to showcase at main show area during Lakme Fashion. This regional selection event season 3 is bigger and better as along with the grand opportunity, where the Design Winners are rewarded with cash Prize from IMG Reliance and mentorship under the Design experts.”
 
The INIFD LaunchPad will search for new design talent in five cities to feature at the fashion week’s next edition. The initiative held its first event in Mumbai on December 10 and will now move to Bengaluru, followed by events in Bhubaneswar, and Bhopal.
