For its 35th edition of GenNext, INIFD chose Hiral Jajal of the brand Hiro, Kunaal Kyhaan of Koytoy, Anugrah Chandra KoAi, and Rudraksh Dwivedi of Rudraksh Dwivedi as its winners, the institute announced in a press release on February 1. The winning designers will now prepare to showcase their collections on the Mumbai runway.

“Since the inception of the GenNext program in 2006, Lakmé Fashion Week has been committed to providing new talent an opportunity to be mentored by our experts and a platform to showcase their work as well as interact with different stakeholders within the industry,” said Hindustan Unilever’s vice president of skincare and colour cosmetics Harman Dhillon in a press release. “We are excited to see these promising designers present their collections and translate their creative storytelling through fashion and beauty with Lakmé’s trend-setting products in synchronicity with their themes. We look forward to the 35th batch of GenNext designers showcasing at the upcoming edition of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI.”

Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with the FDCI will run from March 9 to 12 in Mumbai. Rise Fashion and Lifestyle head Jaspreet Chandok has been mentoring the designers ahead of the event.

“We are delighted to continue strengthening our GenNext program that identifies, mentors, and recognises young designers season on season giving them the opportunity to showcase their work on a global platform like LakméFashion Week in partnership with FDCI,” said Chandok. “For more than a decade, the GenNext program has been responsible for introducing 250+ designers, several of whom have gone on to make a mark in the Indian and international fashion industry. Our best wishes to the 4 winners that have emerged out of an extremely talented pool of entries, and we look forward to seeing them shine in the industry in the years to come.”
