Indya will soon expand its international brick-and-mortar presence and open a store in Nepal. The women’s ethnic wear brand has chosen the lakeside city of Pokhara for its first Nepal store launch.

“We’re thrilled to announce that Indya will soon be opening its doors to our customers in Pokhara, Nepal,” the brand announced on Facebook. Known for its traditional style kurtas and lehengas, Indya targets shoppers ranging from Gen Z to millennial and beyond.
Indya has also launched a dedicated Instagram account this week for its upcoming Nepal-based audience. The brand announced on the account that its first Nepal store will launch with its velvet kurta collection of jewel toned winter sets as well as its other seasonal festive wear collections.
Indya also recently launched a collaborative collection with fashion designer Payal Singhal. The collection features Singhal’s signature bold, bohemian florals on maxi skirts and ethnic details such as subtle mirror work and trims on cropped blouses. Designed for the winter festive season, the line is designed to have ample options for guests attending winter weddings.
Entrepreneurs Shivani Poddar and Tanvi Malik launched Indya’s parent company High Street Essentials Private Limited in 2012. The business also runs women’s western wear brand FabAlley and plus size brand Curve. Indya retails from its network of brick-and-mortar stores and dedicated e-commerce store.
