Indya opens two stores in Mumbai

Ethnic wear fashion brand Indya has opened two new stores in Mumbai bringing its total store count in the city to three, and Indian total to 18.

Indya recently opened a flagship store in the Oberoi Mall on the Western Express highway in Goregaon East and on Linking Road in Khar West, Mumbai. The two stores stock the brand’s full array of ethnic and fusion fast fashion wear and cater to a young female customer base. The Oberoi Mall store measures 775 square feet and the Khar West store measures 450 square feet.

The stores both launched with the brand’s latest collection, Stories of Summer. The collection features a range of kurtas, sheer maxi jackets, tunics, peplum crop-tops, slit tunics, palazzos, dhoti pants with attached dupattas, pant-sarees, and maxi skirts, according to the brand’s press release. Garments retail from Rs 1,800 ($25.79) onwards as the brand is positioned in the value-to-mid section of the market.

Indya was launched by High Street Essentials Pvt. Ltd. Which was founded by Tanvi Malik and Shivani Poddar in 2012. Along with Indya, the business also owns the fashion and accessories brand FabAlley and the western wear brand for plus-sized women Curve.
