Indya opens first Kolkata store, reaches 20 exclusive brand outlets in India
High Street Essentials’ women’s ethnic wear brand Indya opened its first exclusive brand outlet in Kolkata in City Centre Mall, New Town. The launch brought the brand’s India EBO total to 20.
Indya made its EBO debut in Kolkata on September 10 at the city’s City Centre Mall. The new Indya store measures 750 square feet and launched with the brand’s new autumn/ winter collection “Shades of Autumn”. The brand’s new collection features kurtas, dupattas, sarees, and tops and was inspired by Bohemia and classic elegance.
“The celebration of our milestone 20th store becomes doubly special with the brand opening its doors to a city that is the melting pot of fashion,” said Indya’s founders Shivani Poddar and Tanvi Malik about the store launch, according to the brand’s press release.
The brand also has a large presence in multi-brand retail outlets across the country and runs a dedicated e-commerce store. Indya has opened four other EBOs this year including two in Mumbai. The brand has a combined total of 200 EBOs and MBOs.
Shivani Poddar and Tanvi Malik launched High Street Essentials Private Limited in 2012. The business also runs the women’s western wear brand FabAlley and the plus-size brand Curve.
