Indus Valley launches DIY product line 'Bio Organic'
Personal care and beauty brand Indus Valley has expanded its product selection and launched a new line of DIY skin and hair products, designed to be used in multiple combinations with a mix-and-match approach.
Indus Valley’s launched its first line of DIY products with 26 ‘combo kits’ which enable customers to mix organic ingredients together to create multiple skin and haircare solutions, the brand announced in a press release on Tuesday. Prices range from Rs 250 ($3.37) to Rs 400 and each set comes with a ‘recipe book’ detailing different beauty solutions the kit can be used to make and quantities needed for each one.
“Even with everything operating from home, the stress and anxiety have had their fair share of ill effects on both our skin and hair,” said Shyam Arya, CEO and Founder of Indus Valley Cosmeceuticals, in a press release. “This makes it all the way more important to take proper care of our skin and hair. But with a market filled with chemical-laced products that do more harm than benefit, one has many thoughts before applying anything on their body. To ease our customers of this problem, we launched these DIY kits, which can start that repair action right away, sitting in the comfort of your house, with nothing but only selected ingredients directly from nature’s lap.”
Lockdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic have led to increased interest in home beauty treatments both to save money on going to spas and staying safe at home. Indus Valley’s new product line is also 100% organic and chemical free, in line with another trend which picked up more steam during the pandemic, natural beauty care.
Indus Valley Bio Organic is run under the aegis of Indus Valley Cosmeceuticals. The brand’s missions is “making beauty safe and chemical free” and its products retail across multi-brand e-commerce platforms including Flipkart, Amazon India, and Nykaa among others.
