International fast fashion brand Zara’s parent company Inditex plans to launch its brands Pull&Bear and Bershka in the Indian market. The retail giant plans to open brick-and-mortar stores for both clothing brands in 2024.

Pull&Bear began as a menswear brand then pivoted to youthful men's and womenswear - Pull&Bear- Facebook

“They are looking for spaces for both Pull&Bear and Bershka in a few prominent malls in Delhi and Mumbai,” an anonymous source close to the development told India Retailing. The business plans to find retail spaces measuring between 5,000 to 8,000 square feet for Pull&Bear inside large-scale malls.

Both Pull&Bear and Bershka retail a range of youthful casual and semi-formal wear and accessories. The brands will mainly target Gen Z consumers when they launch in India.

“They might even introduce Pull&Bear slightly ahead of Bershka in India,” a source told India Retailing. “They are really thrilled by the response Zara has received here and they are gung-ho about India’s market with a massive young population.”

Inditex has seen strong sales in India and its flagship brand Zara reported a 40% increase in sales in the country in the 2023 financial year. Zara entered India 13 years ago and has become a household name on the high street. Amancio Ortega officially founded InditexSA in 1985 and the business retails in 93 global markets.
