Indie Fashion & Lifestyle Confluence celebrates Indian fashion in Dubai

The one-day Indie Fashion & Lifestyle Confluence in Dubai showcased and celebrated Indian fashion, jewellery, and entertainment as the event’s first international edition and sixth overall.

The IFLC took place at the Hotel Al Habtoor Polo Resort in Dubai on April 29 and brought together an array of Indian fashion brands and celebrities for an awards show and showcase. The event was hosted by the events management company Tefla’s. 

Participating brands showcased collections on the runway including Asma Salman, Gagan Kumar, Bani Pasricha, Binal Shah, Sonali Jain, Soniya Saanchi Designs, Bushra Boumehdi, and Cleopatra. The London College of Arts also took part.

“We are very glad to take this initiative ahead and take our first edition on an international platform,” the event’s organiser and Tefla’s director Aseem Singh told The India Saga. “With this, we encourage the budding designers to showcase their talent. IFLC is proud to announce that this edition was a grand success and we look at making this initiative a bigger.”

This edition also featured a live music performance from Rituraj Mohanty and runway walk by Bollywood celebrity actress Prachi Desai who also introduced each brand at the event. Previous editions of the IFLC have taken place in Mumbai and Delhi and the event aims to give Indian designers a platform from which to promote their up-and-coming brands.
