Indian sellers witness strong sales during holiday season on Ebay

Indian sellers exporting products through e-commerce major Ebay's platform have been witnessing strong sales during the ongoing holiday season in the international markets.
 

The U.S., UK, Europe, and Australia are among the top markets importing products from Indian sellers.Top selling categories included apparel, footwear, fine jewellery, watches, and home décor among others.
 
“Evolving consumer demand and increase in the trust in purchases outside domestic e-commerce reflect a huge market potential that developing countries like India should tap into for e-commerce exports. The U.S., the UK, mainland Europe and Australia are the top markets Indian sellers are exporting products through cross-border e-commerce," Ebay India country manager, Vidmay Naini, told PTI.

“Ebay's CBT (cross border trade) business in India has been in operation for over a decade with an aim to help Indian sellers list and sell merchandise to over 183 million buyers who shop on various global platforms of Ebay across the globe,” Naini added.
 
Ebay’s expects the trend to continue till Christmas and expects sales of Indian sellers to further pick up especially in popular export segments like gold and diamond jewellery.
