Indian Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Show, IFJAS reports Rs 270 crore business enquiries at 16th edition

The 16th edition of the Indian Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Show concluded on Wednesday and generated approximately Rs 270 crore worth of domestic and international business enquiries, giving the industry a boost.

The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts’ trade show saw over 150 exhibiting businesses showcase their latest collections to an audience of Indian and international buyers, wholesalers, and importers among others. “Around 680 trade visitors comprising overseas buyers from 54 countries, their representatives, and Domestic Volume Buyers visited the show to source their requirement,” said the EPCH’s director Rakesh Kumar in a statement on June 22, ET Online reported. 

IFJAS ran from June 20 to 22 at the India Expo Centre and Mart on the Greater Noida Expressway in Delhi-NCR. Product categories displayed at the trade show included fashion jewellery, fashion accessories and handbags, fashion materials and jewellery organisers, stoles and shawls, leather accessories, and other related items, according to the event’s website. 

Buyers attended the trade show from countries including Argentina, Brazil, the US, the UK, Austria, Australia, France, Egypt, Denmark, Iceland, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Germany, the Netherlands, Greece, Mexico, Russia, Israel, Turkey, and Canada, among others. The event was designed to build trade ties with buyers in other nations to boost exports and showcase India as having great export potential in the industry.
