Leading Indian designers like Rajesh Pratap Singh, Anamika Khanna, and Samant Chauhan along with other designers from Bhutan showcased their collections at the show.

With this show, Bhutan and India have strengthened their ties and expected to collaborate further to promote khadi and fashion.

Designers from Bhutan are also expected to participate in FDCI’s next edition of Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week.

Commenting on the initiative, Ambassador of India to Bhutan Ruchira Kamboj in a statement said, “Tonight, we honour our countries through collaboration, our people with compassion and our remarkable friendship through art. The night is not just about glorious textile presentation but also about the opening of new collaborations.”

FDCI chairman Sunil Sethi added, “The Indian Embassy and the Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan will send a team of Bhutanese designers which will be part of the Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week in March next year and we hope this is just the beginning of a long and fruitful association.”
