Around 150 Indian businesses will travel to Tokyo this month to showcase their latest collections to Japanese buyers, wholesalers, importers, and retailers, the event organiser announced on its website. Businesses will present products which are specially designed to suit Japanese customer demand and local market trends.

The trade show will feature six broad product categories comprising apparel and fashion, leather goods, accessories, bags and shoes, handmade goods, and household items. Each section will feature numerous sub-categories of products to present a diverse selection of Indian products available for export.

The trade show is organised by the Japan India Industry Promotion Association, located in Tokyo. The event is supported by Indian traders bodies the Apparel Export Promotion Council, Handloom Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, and The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts.

“All of us here involved in the planning of the fair sincerely hope and trust that, this fair will provide an opportunity to encounter Indian apparel and provide visitors with plenty of stimulating ideas and exciting experiences to take home,” announced JIIPA on its website. “We look forward to your joining the many exhibits and presentations that India’s leading brands and companies will be participating in.”
