The company has earlier been backed by Xiaomi chief operations officer Muralikrishnan B, Hughes managing director Vinod Sood and Redbus co-founder Bhaskar Raju.

Using a virtual trial room with an artificial intelligence-based personalized stylist, Try & Buy creates lifelike animated 3D models of users, customized through their body type, height, weight and skin tone and other attributes.

The company offers the virtual trial and stylist facility to customers and also offers version of the software to brands and e-commerce websites, according to Indian media reports.

The company, founded by Nitin Vats in 2017, claims its software now works with Tommy Hilfiger, Monte Carlo and Calvin Klein. It is discussing with some Indian fashion marketplaces to integrate the software.
