India’s Reliance Industries decreases prices again of PTA, MEG & MELT

Reliance Industries Ltd, India’s largest player in polyester value chain, has further decreased prices of purified terephthalic acid (PTA), monoethylene glycol (MEG) and MELT, after lowering them last week. RIL reviews global market, price trend in China and fluctuation in crude oil to determine the prices of polyester raw materials.

According to the market sources, RIL fixed PTA price at RS 81.70 per kg (-2.20), MEG at RS 52.90 per kg (-1.20) and MELT RS 88.25 per kg (-2.30). New pricing of polyester raw materials will come into effect from coming Saturday. Last week, the company fixed PTA price at RS 83.90 per kg (-2.10), MEG at RS 54.20 per kg (-1.60) and MELT RS 90.55 per kg (-2.35). It reviews prices of PSF every fortnight.
