The fashion week held what it described as “India’s first Instagram fashion week” from September 12 to 15 this year and showcased collections from 35 designers as a continuous feed on its Instagram page. Participating designers included Samant Chauhan, Nikhil Thampi, Siddharth Tytler, Ashima Leena, Poonam Dubey, Nikhita Tandon, Kaaisha by Shalini, Niki Mahajan, Anjalee Arjun Kapoor, and Manish Gupta among others.

Although India Runway Week will repeat its digital event concept, it has not given up on physical events. After its September Instagram edition, the fashion week held its 12th live season at the Select CityWalk mall in New Delhi in October.

The event featured a mix of Indian and international designers which showcased designs on the runway including Aayana by Siimi, Akassh K Aggarwal, Jaivik Naari, and Nikhita Tandon among others. Ted Baker showcased a collection of watches and the event also held special promotions for breast cancer awareness and the LGBTQIA+ community.
