India Retail Forum joins Reed Exhibitions

Event organiser Reed Exhibitions, part of RELX group, has announced that India Retail Forum (IRF), and its satellite events, The Shopping Centre Forum and the Regional Retail Forums (collectively the IRF Portfolio), will join its portfolio of retail real estate events.
 
IRF will join Reed Exhibitions’ growing portfolio of retail real estate events that includes MAPIC in France, Italy, China and REX (Real Estate Exhibition) in Russia. The deal will allow IRF to leverage the global sector expertise and network of Reed Exhibitions.
 

“MAPIC’s international reach combined with the expertise of Reed Exhibitions India and of the IRF team will help develop IRF into a regional platform for retail real estate professionals and international retailers to source business opportunities, partnerships and retail locations in the dynamic and growing Indian market,” said Filippo Rean, Head of Reed MIDEM’s Real Estate Division, organizer of the internationally-renowned retail and real estate tradeshows MAPIC and MIPIM, in a news statement.
 
IRF’s founder Amitabh Taneja will join Reed Exhibitions and will continue in his role directing IRF events as Chief Convener in India.

Together we will ensure continuity and growth for customers and the brand," said Michael Mandl, CEO for Reed Exhibitions India, in a news statement.
 
In 2015, over 7 million participants attended Reed Exhibitions events. They have a growing portfolio of over 500 events in 30 countries, including trade and consumer exhibitions, conferences and meetings, ranging across 43 industry sectors – from aerospace and aviation to beauty and cosmetics to sports and recreation.
