India Kids Fashion Week 2019 tour concludes in Hyderabad, next stop Kolkata

The seventh edition of India Kids Fashion Week held its Hyderabad edition on July 28 at the Taj Deccan and will next take its children’s wear runway show to Kolkata on August 3.

On Sunday, Hyderabad’s Taj Deccan hosted India Kids Fashion Week 2019 and a total of 350 children aged three to 13 years old were selected from 1,000 applicants to walk the runway. The event gave the children a taste of the fashion industry and promoted a range of children’s wear brands to the participants’ parents and audience. 

"India Kids Fashion Week is the perfect platform for emerging as well as established designers and brands to showcase their creativity in the booming children's apparel space,” Craftworld Events’ director Manoj Mahla told The Hans India about the show.

“The kidswear market was estimated at Rs. 66,000 crore and is expected to grow further in the coming years. Tapping the potential many international players have entered the space as well... With India Kids Fashion Week, our endeavour is to bring together the best and most reputed fashion brands and designers in the country."

The event will next travel to Kolkata on August 3 followed by concurrent New Delhi and Mumbai two-day events from August 10 to 11. The event will then travel to Chandigarh on August 18, Ahmedabad on September 1, Pune on September 8, and Jaipur on September 15. This year, India Kids Fashion Week will also go international and host a Dubai edition from October 18 to 19. This will be the event’s first ever international edition.
