The upcoming India International Leather Fair will feature the Leather Fashion Show 2020 on February 2 which will display the latest leather trends on the runway, the show’s convenor Yavar Dhala said in a statement, The Hindu Businessline reported. The event will also see British footwear and leather goods brand Clarks participate for the first time.
Fourteen Indian brands will showcase footwear, handbags, and leather clothing on the runway which will be tailor made for the fashion show. The aim will be to win contracts to supply global brands including Micael Kors, Coach, Tory Burch, Clarks, and Tommy Hilfger, said Dhala.
The fashion show will feature 36 female and 12 male models including Varthika Brignath Singh, Miss Universe India 2019; Tejaswini Manogna, Miss Earth 2019; and Simrithi Bhatija, Miss India International 2019 among others.
The trade show is organised by the Indian Finished Leather Manufacturers and Exporters Association and has run for the last 35 years. The event aims to give international buyers a chance to view products and trends in India before the Indian businesses take their goods to international shows.
