India International Knit Fair welcomes Japanese delegation at 49th edition in Tirupur

The Indian government’s Textiles Committee connected with a Japanese delegation at the recent 49th edition of the India International Knit Fair in Tirupur. The organisation networked to forge industry links between the two nations’ respective textile industries.

The India International Knit Fair took place at the India Knit Fair Complex in Tirupur’s Palangarai Village Post, the event organisers announced on Facebook. The trade show was inaugurated by the Brands and Sourcing Leader Association’s chairman Swaminathan in the presence of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations’ president A. Sakthivel. 
 
The Textiles Committee set up a joint stall with the Nissenken Quality Evaluation Centre Japan to explore joint textile trading opportunities. The Nissenken Quality Evaluation Centre Japan was represented by Junji Iwata from its Japanese office and by Varun Goud from its Jaipur office. The Textiles Committee was represented at the event by its Tirupur regional office. 

“Exporters appreciated and welcomed the initiative by Textiles Committee for connecting with Japanese Delegation,” the Textiles Committee announced on Facebook. The committee sees a significant opportunity to increase textile exports to Japan. 
 
The Textiles Committee was established by the Government of India’s Textiles Committee Act in 1963. The organisation works to uplift the Indian textiles industry and pursue international relationships to boost exports.
