On February 15, an array of designers showcased their spring/summer 2019 collections on the runway in Goa. Presented by Fashion Era, the one-day runway showcase featured international designers and an array of both traditional and western wear.

French designer Anna Lou presented a wearable collection that featured loose, beachy dresses, bohemian style jerkins and jackets, and an array of bold colours and prints. Tahera The Wardrobe Designer showed a classic traditional wear collection with gold, bright hues, and floral embroidery. However, the collection then morphed into dramatic gowns covered in glittering sequins followed by a white wedding dress and jellyfish-esque ruffled creation to finish.

Bindhu showcased a collection of earthy metallics and pink florals that played on the concept of fusion wear. The multi-designer studio Oorja was inspired by Goa itself with modern kurtas and loose shirt dresses. Other designers that showed collections included Kavit, Anisha Naidu, and Surbhi Tibrewal.

The event ended with showstopper Femina Miss India 2018 Anukreethy Vas walking the runway for finale designer Arjun Kumar. Vas wore a white and gold lehenga set accessorised with her crown to conclude Kumar’s collection of opulent traditional wear.

The event was sponsored by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioners and the makeup artist in-chief was Rohit Gulati. The runway show was curated by Arjuna Goud and the event’s associate partner was Magnum Opus.
