India Fashion Week Australia to celebrate desi fashion in October
Multi-brand fashion event India Fashion Week Australia will take place on October 30 at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne to showcase an array of Indian fashion from seasoned and up-and-coming designers.
India Fashion Week Australia will return to the runway following a two-year hiatus, the event organisers announced on Facebook on July 4. The fashion show is designed to bring together brands, models, the wider industry, and the public for a celebration of fashion and networking opportunity.
India Fashion Week Australia is organised by fashion events business Meilleur Events. The last edition of the runway show took place in 2019 and featured brands including Samant Chauhan, Mini Raxevsky, Nicholas Gilbert, Rimi Nayak, and Vicoola among others, according to the event’s website.
The 2019 runway show was a mix of Indian ethnic and western wear with children’s wear and occasion wear also featuring. The event also featured live music, a judges panel which presented awards, and a ‘GenNext’ segment for new brands. The upcoming event will feature a similar selection of clothing styles at its upcoming edition, with participating designers to be announced in the run up to the event.
