India Fashion Awards launches Fashion Entrepreneur Fund website

Non-profit organisation the India Fashion Awards launched a Fashion Entrepreneur Fund website at an event in New Delhi. The initiative is designed to facilitate the provision of backing and mentorship for upcoming Indian fashion designers. 

The launch event took place at New Delhi’s Claridges and also announced participation from fashion personalities including Naveen Jindal, Robin Raina, J.K. Lalwani, and Sandeep Jain among others, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. The new initiative will include Rs 20 crore of investment into Indian fashion and lifestyle startups. 
 
“Young entrepreneurs in India's fashion and lifestyle realm are igniting a global movement, reshaping entire industries with their innovative ideas,” said Karan Johar at the event, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “With this venture studio, we're not just providing financial support; we're crafting success stories. By offering both financial backing and crucial mentorship, we're empowering the next generation to confidently leave their mark with authenticity. I am incredibly passionate about being part of this vision aimed at propelling the industry to unprecedented heights. To all the budding trailblazers entering the Indian business stage: Embrace your unique vision, infuse it with authenticity, and boldly carve out a radiant future.”

The India Fashion Awards also recently announced Johar as a board member of the Fashion Entrepreneur Fund, the organisation announced on Facebook. Johar was chosen for his links to the fashion industry and pan-India popularity. 
 
“With great excitement, we welcome the fashion maestro, Karan Johar, as he joins the Fashion Entrepreneur Fund as a board member,” announced the India Fashion Awards on Facebook. “He is a man who needs no introduction. With a keen eye for fashion, as seen in his iconic films and personal style, he infuses creativity and innovation in every aspect. His journey into fashion commenced at an early stage… Presently, his latest venture encompasses a jewellery brand named Tyaani Jewellery, thus further cementing his standing in the realm of fashion.”
