India Fashion Awards celebrates design talent at season two
The Indian Fashion Awards held its second season on September 25 to celebrate innovators in the fashion industry with judges including fashion designer Rocky Star and winners including designer Manish Malhotra.
The awards ceremony took place in New Delhi on Saturday and was designed to celebrate, “the unsung heroes of the fashion industry,” it announced in a press release. The evening was presented by Rajnigandha Pearls and powered by Mario and DLF Malls.
A jury consisting of Rocky Star, Sonalika Sahay, Maneka Gandhi, Ravi Jaipuria, Prasad Nail, and Varun Rana awarded designers from across the industry. Designer Sahil Kochhar was awarded an award for Innovative Designer in Craft Techniques and Karan Torani was awarded Rajnigandha Pearls Presents Sparkling Designer of the Year, the awards ceremony announced on Facebook.
Style blogger Miss Malini was awarded as Female Digital Entrepreneur of the Year and Lokesh Sharma was awarded as New Age Show Director of the Year. Other fashion designers who won awards include Siddharth Tytler, Gaurav Gupta, Tarun Tahillani, Anamika Khanna, Vaishali S, Suneet Varma, and Rohit Bal, among others.
The India Fashion Awards was organised by Sanjay Nigam and corporate partners included drinks business Kati Patang, décor business Waves Flora, and Whiteflash Events as production partner.
