India Runway Week announces eighth batch of Newgen designers

India Runway Week (IRW), which will run from April 20 to 22 for its tenth season in Delhi, has announced its Newgen designers as well as partners.

The Indian Federation for Fashion Development’s (IFFD) IRW has announced the eighth batch of Newgen designers that will showcase their designs at the summer edition of the fashion week. Ten brands have been chosen for the tenth edition of the fashion week and they will present their spring summer collections at the event.

The labels chosen this season are: Arkya by Ankita Yadav, Istuti and Vivek, Sidh by Udayan Dalmia,  Sunidhi Goradia, Shefali Dhaka Sirohi, Twinkle Pupreja, Tripti Chandak, Oindrilla Das, Ashima S Couture, and Peeli Kothi  by Ambica.

“The Newgen programme at India Runway Week has become the benchmark for the ‘fresh fashion’,” said IRW’s Fashion Director, Kiran Kheva, in a statement. “It has mined many fresh designers season after season, and we are excited to see what the young designers have in store for us this summer 2018.” fashion industry pays close attention to these Newgen designers as they bring freshness and innovation in their showcase.”
 
“This program was launched under IFFD’s Young Fashion movement in year 2014-15,” explained Avinash Pathania, the Founder of the IFFD. “India Runway Week’s continued effort to bring young fashion visible over the last 5 years and shaping the future of the industry in India. The 8th batch comprises a promising young group of designers with fresh ideas and innovation who are sure to make a mark in the industry.”
 
The “knowledge partner” for this season of IRW is Apeejay Stya University and the wellness partner is Kairali, the Ayurvedic Healing Village. The hair and makeup partner has also been announced as Glam Studios.
