India International Fashion Week to hold first edition in Mumbai

India International Fashion Week will hold its first-ever edition from January 25 to 26 at the Hotel Sea Princess in Juhu, Mumbai, and will showcase a range of women’s, men’s, and children’s fashion.

Events management business Transformation Nights Fashion and Production will host a three-day fashion event in Mumbai this January, the business announced on Facebook. India International Fashion Week will feature runway shows, which aim to showcase design talent from across India and give models a platform, from which to kick-start their careers.
 
Designer Sher Khan will showcase his latest collection on the runway, as part of the event. Hailing from Lucknow, Khan specialises in men’s fusion wear. 

Womenswear designer Chahat Ambwani will also participate in the runway shows and Trishna Chatterjee and Niyati Joshi will walk as the brand’s showstoppers. Designers Arjun Kumar, Zooby Singh, Amir Idrisi, and Naveen Kumar will also showcase collections at the event. 
 
The event has already conducted a search for models and announced Prairy Azad from Bangladesh; twins Sunny and Shyam Savani; Markku Vanhanen from Finland; Malisha Sidachanh from Laos; and Amir Siddiqui from Mumbai as participating models.

The fashion week is sponsored by Fashionz, Red Silk Carpet, Studio Visage, Multi Cars Club, and Akshay’s Mark.
