India Fashion Expo 2019 holds 26th edition in Kolkata

The Eastern India Garment Manufactures & Exporters Federation recently held the 26th edition of its India Fashion Expo in Kolkata to facilitate business to business networking in India’s garment industry. 

The garment business trade show welcomed over 300 participants for its three-day summer edition which concluded on July 4 last week at Kolkata’s Ecopark. The event featured garment manufacturers, traders, and retailers from across India who met to forge business links and network. 

“From last few years, value retail chain is growing tremendously and we are pleased to say that we are one of the leaders in this sector from this part of the country," said the head of Baazar of Kolkata, Manoj Khemka, as he inaugurated the event. Khemka welcomed the businesses to the event and said that the garment industry is currently experiencing considerable growth.

“Garment industry in West Bengal and Kolkata is going very strongly and will further grow in coming  years and EIGMEIF will ensure that it keep on growing in a steady pace,” said EIGMEIF’s vice president Raj Duggar, as reported by India Blooms. “From [the] last five to six years we are trying to change and improve the business market.”
