IFFD to hold second Instagram edition of India Runway Week this September

The Indian Federation for Fashion Development will hold its second online edition of fashion week, ‘India Runway Week', from September 17 to 20 this year, promising an even bigger edition this time.

 
“We are happy to launch the second edition of virtual fashion week and this time it will be much bigger and better with more creative ideas to support it and make it different from all the other new entrants in the same kind of platform due to Covid-19 pandemic,” said IFFD founder, Avinash Pathania, in a statement, Indo-Asian News Service reported. 
 
The Instagram-based fashion week will include interactive features to allow designers and buyers to interact virtually. Model auditions will also be held on Instagram prior to the event.

The first-ever online edition of India Runway Week took place on Instagram from September 12 to 15, 2019. The online event featured runway collections by 35 designers including Manish Gupta, Nikhil Thampi, Siddharth Tytler, Ashima Leena, Niki Mahajan, and Kaaisha by Shalini, among others. 
 
The IFFD had to postpone its latest physical fashion week due to coronavirus. The fashion week was previously scheduled to run from April 3 to 5 in New Delhi.
