The exhibition was designed to showcase the next generation of talent in India’s jewellery industry and celebrate progress made by the IIGJ’s graduating students. The theme of the exhibition was ‘Nisarga…Unveiling Nature’, which was divided into the six sub-themes of Texture Nouveau, Extraterrestrial, Expression of Rust, Bio-Essence, Ombré Oeuvre, and Geometric Haul, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council announced on its website.

“I am happy to know that there has been an inclusive effort from the institute and other stakeholders to train the students and make them ready for the industry,” said GJEPC chairman Colin Shah at the award ceremony. “I am impressed with the skills exhibited by the graduating students setting a benchmark for the future graduating students.”

Each piece of jewellery displayed at the exhibition was examined by the IIGJ’s in-house team and external jewellery professionals ahead of the award ceremony. Graduating IIGJ student Prachi Shah was awarded ‘Best Design Collection’ and Sanjana Singha was awarded Best Craftsmanship (Handmade).

The IIGJ partnered with jewellery manufacturing businesses Kama Schachter and Sunjewels for the exhibition. Kama Schachter mentored students on design development and Sunjewels sponsored the CAM portion of the production process.
