Institute of Design & Technology (IDT), a Surat, India-based fashion design institute, organised the first round of mega audition of its upcoming designer kids fashion show, the Gujarat Kids Fashion Week 2019 (GKFW 2019), at La Terranza, Surat. The finale of GKFW 2019 is scheduled for January 2019. IDT students will design the dresses for all participants.

For the event, IDT has collaborated with almost 500 schools of Gujarat. Kids in the age group of 3 to 10 walked on the ramp during the first mega audition round, held on Sunday. The show was held in two categories—Solo and ‘Jodi Kamaal Ki’. In both categories, kids performed unique ramp walk and received big applause from the audience. In the ‘Jodi Kamaal Ki’ category, kids walked the ramp along with their parents.

The jury comprised Pooja Vyas, Mrs India International 2018 (Tiara) and fashion icon, and well-known fashion choreographer Rahul Jain.

“If an opportunity is given to the kids at this juncture, their talent may come out and self-confidence can be developed at an early age. And this is the basic aim behind organising such shows,” IDT director Anupam Goyal told Fibre2Fashion.

“The IDT team and all the participants look forward and are eagerly waiting for GKFW 2019—the biggest designer kids fashion show in Surat,” Goyal added.
