HUL Q4 net profit rises 9 percent to Rs 2,327 crore

FMCG major Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) witnessed a 9 percent increase in its net profit at Rs 2,327 crore ($304 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 2022, as against Rs 2,143 crore report in the year-ago period.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 11 percent to Rs 13,462 crore, as against Rs 12,132 crore it reported in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
 
For the full-year period from April 2021 to March 2022, HUL’s profit rose by 11 percent to Rs 8,818 crore from Rs 7,954 crore in the previous financial year.

Commenting on the results, Sanjiv Mehta, CEO managing director of HUL in a statement said, “In challenging circumstances, we have grown competitively and protected our business model by maintaining margins in a healthy range. I am also pleased that we have become a Rs 50,000 crore turnover company in this fiscal.”
 
“Our consistent performance is reflective of our strategic clarity, strength of our brands, operational excellence, and dynamic financial management of our business," Mehta added.
 
 Hindustan Unilever is the country’s largest consumer goods company with a strong presence in the beauty and personal care segment.
