Huemn, Kanika Goyal Label, and Payal Singhal present digital looks for Lakme Fashion Week's Nexa Digital Couture
On Friday, the second day of Lakme Fashion Week’s online showcase ‘Nexa Digital Couture’, brands Huemn, Kanika Goyal Label, and Payal Singhal presented ready-to-shop looks online.
For the final day of Nexa Digital Couture, streetwear brand Huemn presented a video of a bold monochrome look featuring the ‘Huemn Gorilla’, a character which has made repeated appearances in the brand’s collections throughout the years. The look was designed to be, “a grounding reminder of an ever-evolving Huemn, and the Gorilla products are season-less and made for all genders and sizes,” Lakme Fashion Week shared on Facebook.
Kanika Goyal Label’s look for LFW’s showcase was plucked from her new collection ‘Craving Confetti’. Designed to offer a dose of escapism, the modern, asymmetrical ensemble featured an abstract, nature-inspired design and floaty skirt.
Payal Singhal took a more colourful approach for her digital design and chose a bohemian style jumpsuit from her new collection ‘Kismet’.
“The look is replete with influences from nomadic tribes around the world,” shared LFW on Facebook. “The folk inspiration is evident in this look- the iconic PS tie-up choli intricately embroidered with appliqué work and woollen tassels, paired with a kalidar sharara.”
LFW’s interactive showcase harnessed technology to present designs in a dynamic and interactive way. Shoppers could purchase the look directly from the designers by messaging them during the showcase.
As LFW continues to launch online initiatives, it has partnered with Only Natural Diamonds In to share celebrities’ personal stories of buying natural diamond jewellery. The campaign’s video series features Reha Sukheja and Deepti Gujral among others.
