House of Masaba brings Game of Thrones collection to Raipur
Masaba Gupta’s brand House of Masaba has brought its limited edition Game of Thrones clothing collection to Raipur in collaboration with Azra for a pop-up store that runs from July 1 to 4.
House of Masaba has teamed up with the multi-brand designer store Azra to showcase its new Game of Thrones collection in Raipur at a pop-up shop at Azra’s Civil Lines boutique. This is the first time Raipur shoppers can see the collection offline.
The collection mixes House of Masaba’s signature use of prints with motifs and colour palettes from the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. Gupta was inspired by the icy landscape of the series to create floaty fusion wear garments in greys and whites and by its warrior characters to create red and black hued prints.
The collection featured both womenswear and menswear and is Gupta’s first themed menswear collection after recently launching the product category with a small collection earlier in the year. Traditional wear classics such as sarees and western wear staples such as suits create a collection full of varied silhouettes.
Gupta has already taken the collection to London, UK, for a showcase in Soho last month. The pop-up event was hosted by Rani by Raja and was the brand’s second pop-up event in London.
Gupta holds the official licence agreement to retail Game of Thrones apparel and jewellery in India. The agreement is held with Black White Orange, the Indian start-up holding the licence to create merchandise for Game of Thrones’ distributor HBO in India.
