The brand’s new foray into jewellery is a line of brightly coloured textile necklaces which are made from upcycled saree textiles, the brand announced on Facebook. Designed as a versatile accessory which also combats textile waste, the line just launched at multi-brand Indian fashion and lifestyle retailer Good Earth’s boutique in Khan Market, New Delhi.

House of Wandering Silk is also reaching customers though interactive shopping events. The brand recently held an Open Studio event on December 18 at its space in Delhi, it announced on Facebook. The event gave Delhi’s shoppers the chance to browse House of Wandering Silk’s selection of clothing, scarves, and necklaces, in person and at discounted prices.

As part of its plan to continue to make its production process more sustainable, the brand has partnered with Regeno Bio to use its eco-friendly, biodegradable packaging for its products. The brand is also looking to find an India-based plastic-free solution for its outer packaging, it announced on Facebook.

House of Wandering Silk recently launched a selection of dedicated vintage pieces on its e-commerce store. The one-off pieces are designed to add more sustainable options and the vintage line features a number of silk overcoats. The brand also recently partnered with the Self Employed Women’s Association in Delhi to create a small collection of golden embellished neckpieces featuring hand-sewn sequins and beads.
