House of Masaba brings festive collection to Long Island, US

Masaba Gupta brought her new festive collection to Long Island, US, for a week long pop-up shop at Ginni Boutique.

From August 24 to 30, House of Masaba set up shop at Ginni Boutique in Hicksville, Long Island. The pop-up shopping event was also Gupta’s debut of the brand’s festive collection in America in time for the upcoming holiday season. Designs included the brand’s new lotus print which features on lehengas and sarees.

The pop-up shop was a longer event than the usual two-day events Gupta has so far put on in the US. This year, Gupta has taken her brand to several locations in America and Canada as well as other international locations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand. So far, House of Masaba only has flagship stores in India but the success of Gupta’s pop-up stores could lead the brand to have a greater or more permanent presence overseas.

House of Masaba was founded by Masaba Gupta July 2009 and that year Gupta was named as the International Institute of Fashion Design’s (INIFD’s) “most promising designer”. The brand retails from its e-commerce website and also has flagship stores in cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.
