House of Chic brings Indian designers to New Jersey

House of Chic concluded its US Indian fashion pop-up tour with a shopping event in New Jersey. The pop-up featured festive wear from a number of Indian brands and gave US shoppers the chance to browse festive collections.

House of Chic’s Festive Edit ran throughout the entire month of September and travelled to Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, New York, Westchester, and finally New Jersey. The event was curated by Heena Surani in collaboration with events planner Vandana M. Puri and the New Jersey edition took place at Lake Chateau Banquets in Woodbridge.

Participating brands included Nupur Kanoi, Myoho, Dev r Nil, Aneehka Pret & Couture, Sue Mue, Mouni Roy, Sej Jewels, Lotus Sutr, and Voila by Roma Bhalla among others. The event aimed to present Indian fashion to a global audience and build the featured Indian brand’s customer base in the US.

Shah Arts Emporium presented an exclusive collection of shawls from Kashmir,  including Pashminas, as part of the event. The main focus was on Indian traditional wear with sarees, lehengas, dupattas, and gowns tailored to the festive season.   

House of Chic was launched in 2012 and is a New York-based multi-brand Indian fashion retailer. The business aims to bring Indian fashion to the global market and promote up-and-coming Indian designers.
