High Street Essentials plans expansion for ‘Indya Luxe’

High Street Essentials is planning to expand its retail presence by opening 7 to 8 wedding stores under its premium ethnic label ‘Indya Luxe’ during the current financial year.

The company plans to open stores in Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai, among other places. Some of the stores will be company-owned while others will be opened under the franchisee model.
Additionally, the company plans to strengthen its presence in the international markets by opening stores in markets like UAE, UK, Malaysia, and Nepal.
“The company aims to increase Luxe’s contribution to Indya’s business from 7-8 percent to 35-40 percent in 12 months,” CEO and founder Shivani Poddar told Businessline.
“As part of international expansion, we will open 10 new stores in existing international markets. So far, we have opened four stores, with another six in the pipeline,” Poddar added.
Started in 2012 by Shivani Poddar and Tanvi Malik, High Street Essentials also owns fashion brand Faballey
