today Dec 11, 2019
The Heritage Patola Art Exhibition will hold a saree, dupatta, and shawl showcase from December 12 to 13 at Masjid Modh in New Delhi to showcase Patola, Banarasi, and Bandhani crafts in the capital ahead of events in three other cities.
The free business-to-customer shopping event by womenswear brand Heritage Patola Art will showcase a wide array of traditional wear for the winter wedding season at The Royal Park Hall. The showcase aims to promote the Patola craft tradition and widen Ahmedabad-based Heritage Patola Art’s customer base in new cities.
Following its Delhi exhibition, Heritage Patola Art will bring its selection of traditional textiles to Jaipur for a showcase from December 14 to 16 at KK Square in Ashok Nagar. The exhibition will then travel to Hyderabad for a showcase from December 20 to 22 at the Saptaparni in Banjara Hills.
From January 3 to 5, 2020, the exhibition will hold its first event of the new year with a showcase in partnership with the multi-brand boutique Raintree in Bengaluru’s Windsor Hotel.
Heritage Patola Art retails from its e-commerce store Balaji Patola and its products bare the “Handloom Mark” and “Silk Mark” of authenticity. Patan Patola sarees are made from double ikat weaves and originate from Patan in Gujarat. The sarees feature bright hues and abstract animal and insect motifs. With gold borders and ornamental elements, Patola sarees were worn by aristocracy in the past.
