Helix launches its first smartwatch in India
Timex Group brand Helix has launched its first smartwatch ‘Helix Smart’ in India. With this addition, Timex is looking to strengthen its presence in the smartwatch segment.
Timex is eyeing millennials to drive growth of its newly launched product and expects strong sales due to its affordable price range.
The watch has been launched in three colours: pink, blue, and black. It has been priced at Rs 3,995 ($55) and will be sold at authorised Helix retailers and on the official website.
Commenting on this new launch, Ajay Dhyani, head marketing and e-commerce at the Timex Group, in a statement said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of Helix’s first-ever smartwatch, Helix Smart. The all new Helix smartwatch embodies the Timex Group’s standard of quality and precision combined with new age technology. We believe that these smartwatches will be well received by the youth.”
Timex Group is already a major player in the traditional watches, which contributes the most to the company’s sales. It is now looking to make inroads in the digital and smartwatches segment for future growth in the country and has been constantly upgrading its product portfolio in this segment.
