From March 18 to 19, Homegrown will run the second edition of its HGStreet Festival in Mumbai. The interactive event will feature a range of fashion brands along with artists and musicians for a celebration of contemporary culture.

Homegrown will showcase young fashion talent at its upcoming event - Homegrown

The event will feature pop-up stores, showcases, exhibitions, conversations, and workshops among other activities and take place in Richardson and Cruddas Mills, an 80,000 square foot historic industrial warehouse, the event organisers announced in a press release on March 14. The event will showcase work by up-and-coming fashion designers at its ‘Gen Next Fashion Show’ which is designed to give young creatives a platform from which to grow their fashion brands.

“HGStreet Festival is a celebration of all things Homegrown - the next generation of contemporary Indian culture and creativity,” said Homegrown’s co-founder and CEO Varsha Patra in a press release. “The intent was to break away from traditional formats in India, with the hope to create a differentiated festival experience that sits at the intersectionality of varied interests and feeds the creative soul - one that’s quintessentially Homegrown - not confined, not defined.”

Op top of its fashion quotient, the event will feature over 40 musicians and eight art and design exhibits. A global sneaker and streetwear segment aims to bring together sneaker enthusiasts and six panels ans workshops will promote knowledge sharing in the creative industries.

“HGStreet Festival aims to bring every touchpoint of culture and lifestyle resonating with new age India under one roof,” said Homegrown’s co-founder and CMO Varun Patra. “This year, we will be introducing our audience to South Asian and international artists who will be performing live at the two-day festival. We truly believe that #HGStreet is a forum for a great exchange of ideas and different perspectives coupled with the energy of next-generation talent to come together. It is definitely a space for all ages, perspectives, and interests.”
